Start with the exact programme
Choose a programme before choosing a city. Ask the university's admissions or international office about teaching language, prerequisites, and application dates. Confirm the calendar, fees, assessment, and records it issues. A general page about studying in Argentina cannot answer whether a particular degree or course accepts your Canadian credential. Keep each answer with the programme name and date.
Write down who decides recognition later. A Canadian university, employer, regulator, or professional body may use its own process. The Argentine education information can orient the system, while the receiving Canadian institution controls a future credit or recognition decision.
At the end of a term, download or request the official record while access is easy. Keep the course name, dates, and grades together. Add the language and issuing office. If a Canadian regulator later asks for a sealed or verified record, the Argentine university and Canadian reviewer may each have a separate process.
Make documents and language workable
Ask for a precise list of transcripts, diplomas, and translations. Confirm certifications, identity records, and photographs with the university. Do not pay for every possible document before the university confirms the format. Keep original records protected and send copies through the institution's official channel. Map the student week
Visit or map the campus, proposed housing, and grocery route. Then check transport, the clinic, and the evening return. Include registration, meals, and study space. Add internet, laundry, and a way to reach a Canadian family across time zones. A programme decision becomes a daily-life decision when the commute, costs, and language demands are included.
Ask about student support, emergency contacts, library access, payment timing, and holidays. Keep one alternate route and one backup workspace. The university can explain its own support; a landlord, carrier, insurer, or government authority answers the other parts of the plan.
Compare offers with a dated record
Put the written answers for each programme in the same table, then mark what is confirmed, what is conditional, and what you still need to ask. Do not treat a social post or agent promise as an admission decision. A short visit or first-term arrangement may provide evidence before a longer commitment.
Programmes, calendars, fees, and recognition rules can change. Recheck the university and the Canadian decision-maker before enrolling or presenting the degree for work.

Preserve the academic record

Ask how the university handles a missed exam, illness, late fee, course withdrawal, or change of programme. Put the faculty office and international office in separate notes. Add the emergency contact because it may answer a different question. A student who knows the first person to call can protect a deadline without sending a private academic record to a public group.
